Korean script is referred to as Hangul. Hanja is the Korean term for Chinese characters. I agree it is an odd omission from the book though.

Helpful, but lacking

This book is very helpful for a beginner learning Korean. It does, however, leave out one very important part of the Korean language: the Korean alphabet. At no point in the book is Hanja ever discussed. Yes, this book will help you order food, but it will not teach how to read the menu.
