Catching Fire is the second of the Hunger Games trilogy.  I bought it because it was te sequel to Hunger Games, which I generally liked though it was a bit predictable and thin on details.  What I liked about this book was the same that I liked about Hunger Games: a different kind of strong yet vulnerable hero[ine].  Catching Fire is more of the same.  If you really liked Hunger Games, you'll like Catching Fire.  I hoped for more detail and connections between the different events.  The characters in this trilogy so far are mysteriously greater than the sum of their apparent parts, a tip of the ice berg kind of thing.  I guess foreshadowing is not one of this author's strong suits.  You'll enjoy this book more if you pay close attention to what happens in earlier sections of the book and then the connecting actions later in the story will make more than less sense.    [Delete review]
